Admissions

We understand choosing the right school for your child is an important decision. We welcome the opportunity to meet with you and your family in person to gain an understanding of your child’s needs and interests, and to share our school’s true experience. For a brief introduction to our school, check out Our School by the Numbers Infographic and our FAQs. Please contact us to schedule a private tour and/or attend one of our open houses. We look forward to meeting with you.

Schedule a Discovery Day

After you’ve had the chance to visit our school, we invite you to schedule your child for a complimentary Discovery Day. A Discovery Day gives your child the chance to spend a day with one of our students, experiencing all aspects of our curriculum, specialty classes and personalized learning environment. Discovery Days are subject to availability.

Application Requirements

Priority for enrollment is given to current students and their siblings, students already in a Montessori program and students planning to attend for three or more years. Since there may be more children than available places in a program, within each category preference is given to those who commit earliest. Please download our preliminary application to begin the enrollment process.

New Student Phase-in Process

Students new to Montessori Corner will start classes before the actual start of school. This phase-in period helps young children gradually separate from parents or caregivers as they begin their first school experience. Our phase-in period is tailored to meet the needs of each child. A phase-in schedule is sent before the start of school. Patience with your child’s adjustment is important to his/her long term happiness at school.

Health Records

State law requires that we keep a current record of your child’s immunizations to admit them for the school year or summer session. We will ask new families to fill out a medical forms upon enrolling. Please keep the office informed of new immunizations. New Jersey State regulations require that all students have updated inoculations on file before they are admitted to class. Students who are not inoculated for religious reasons must obtain a waiver from their physician.
