Well, it is that time of the year again. It is hard to imagine that another school year is coming to an end. Our students have been exposed to so many wonderful learning opportunities this year and have made so many developmental strides. In addition, our students have gained confidence and independence which they will take into their future.
The beauty of the Montessori classroom is that the student learns complex concepts using hands on materials. These materials reinforce lessons and concrete to abstract learning. The Montessori classroom is truly organic in its presentation and watching the children at work is fascinating.
The beginning of the school year brings shy and nervous students. Now, I see confident and joyful learners in every classroom I step into during the day. The insecurity our little one’s felt in September has been replaced with independent and courageous learners. I see students who have learned the fine art of positive communication and are such willing helpers and such active learners. It has, indeed, been a tremendous year of growth.
I look forward to the future…to our kindergarten graduation ceremony on June 13; to our summer camp filled with happy campers and to the new 2018-19 school year where we will continue to learn, grow and share.
Summer camp opens on June 25. If you have not already signed up and would like to, call the school and we would be happy to send you more information. Spaces are limited for our programs so don’t wait to enroll!
Planning for the 2018-19 school year is underway. If you have not already enrolled for the new school year, call to schedule your child’s enrollment. Spaces are filled on a first come, first serve basis! We look forward to having your family with us again next year!
We anticipate another year of learning and friendships!
