We are getting in the spirit of the season at Montessori Corner. This month we are working on our Winter clothing drive. We are donating over 300 pieces of clothing to the Trenton Rescue Mission. As we organize our donations, children are practicing their sorting, counting and folding skills. Most importantly, children are learning how to be generous and how to support children in need.
The most wonderful time of the year is also the busiest. We are looking forward to having our families slow down for two days and enjoy some holiday cheer! This month we will have our caroling presentation. We look forward to singing along with our children and families some of the beloved songs of the season. Our wonderful parent volunteer group is supporting this event as well as our class parties. The children will build gingerbread houses, create ornaments, decorate their cookies to take home and much more!
Our Parent and Teacher’s conferences are being held this month as well. These happen twice a year and it is an important event to discuss children’s academic and social-emotional progress. Our partnership with our families is of utmost importance to us as we work together to celebrate the successes of our children.
