Summer camp is in full swing. We welcome our new campers this month! They have had a blast participating in games, water play, art projects and swimming. Our summer activities are theme based, and our Fossil find week was a tremendous success! We also continue our academic program and children have had the opportunity to improve their skills in Practical Life, Math, Language, and Enrichment. Our staff has been planning lessons in math, language, writing, graphing, patterns, experiments, tracing, writing practice and so much more.

Our School year is just around the corner. Our summer campers have done an absolutely wonderful job with transitions, we are extremely proud of them. However it is not uncommon for children to struggle with transitions. It usually takes a few days for children to feel comfortable in a new environment and the best way to alleviate transition stress it to remain positive and talk through the transition. Children transition easier if they know what lies ahead and that their families show confidence and support their experience. Talk to your child and let them know what they can expect. Also, reinforce that you always come back and make it a point to focus on your child when you do return. Ask them about their day and what their favorite part was. This reminds the child that they were successful and the transition becomes easier each day.

We are still registering for the fall. If you know someone interested in enrolling at our school please tell them to contact the office to schedule a time to visit our school.
