Happy November! The holiday season is quickly approaching and it is hard to believe that our school year is in full swing! The children are enjoying their classroom time and the teachers have been so busy preparing beautiful and engaging lessons. Our faculty work hard to ensure that their students receive large group lessons, small group lessons, individual one on one lessons and independent time for their students to master and practice tasks each day.
Each time I enter a classroom it is like I have walked into an exciting world…one where children are engaged and happy and participating in so many wonderful tasks. Math and language lessons continue to challenge our students while practical life and sensorial lessons continue to engage and amaze! Watching our students grow more confident in their own skills is the icing on the cake each day! We love to see the joy of learning each day!
Even our littlest students have grown more comfortable in their environment. These children tend to take a little whole longer to adjust just because of the age, but year after year we find that the standard 4-6 weeks of transition is customary for all children. To watch that little one who was so sad the first few days of school walk in with a smile and go right to work is heartwarming!
Thank you to all for allowing us to take care of your precious little ones for it is a role we do not take lightly and one that will forever be etched in our hearts!
Wishing you a beautiful Thanksgiving and holiday season,
Chris Booth and the Faculty of Montessori Corner
