August News

Montessori Corner summer camp is well under way and the classrooms are abuzz with energy and activity.    Ms. Batoon, Ms. Kardashi, Ms. Roy, Ms. Marella, Ms. Pandita  and their teaching teams have done an excellent job of incorporating great learning opportunities into themed based units of study.  Socialization is key to summer camp and our campers are proving their interest in making new friends and sharing their experiences with one another.  So many friendships have been made and social confidence is at an all new high! New campers are learning the ground rules which will only aid their transitions in September allowing for a smoother start to the new school  year, while returning campers gain confidence and develop their role modeling skills now that they are the “big fish in the little pond” so to speak!

2015-2016 is right around the corner and we anticipate a wonderful school year. If you haven’t already registered your child for the new school year, you may want to consider finalizing your paperwork soon as we are in the end stages of determining classroom and faculty needs for the new school year and we want to ensure that your child is enrolled in the classroom of your choice.   Currently there are a few spaces available for the new school year and we are thrilled that our families are spreading the Montessori Corner word!  With so many referrals this school year, Montessori Corner families will be reaping the benefits of the Parent Referral program.  Remember, tell a friend to let us know (at the time of tour or registration) that you referred them and you receive tuition credit!  It’s that easy.  Once the new family enrolls and is enrolled for three months, the referring family earns credit.  For every referral that enrolls for 5 full days, the referring family earns one week of tuition credit.  For every referral that enrolls for a schedule less than 5 full days, the referring family earns $100 tuition credit.  Remember, the referral certificate must be filled out at the time of the tour or registration so tell the family you refer to let us know so we can get that certificate filled out earning you tuition credit after they have been enrolled for three months!  Certificates submitted after the enrollment are not valid, so make sure you let your friends know!  We look forward to welcoming your friends into our family!

The new school year will offer new experiences and challenges and we are up to the task.  I look forward getting to know all of the Montessori Corner students and their families and sharing my own Montessori experiences with each of you.  I am working on the Back to School, New Student Phase In and New Parent Social schedules and will announce them closer to the end of the summer, so don’t miss out and make sure that your child is enrolled and all set for the fall.  The teachers have been diligently preparing their classrooms and reviewing records as they prepare for the first lessons of the school year!

Remember, we have 2 program options at Montessori Corner.  Our Early Childhood program (hosts children ages 2-5 years of age) and our Primary Program (hosts children 3-6 years of age).  Both programs  are run by Montessori Certified Lead Teachers who are trained in the Montessori philosophy birth through 6 year of age.  The teacher in both programs have the same Montessori didactic classroom materials and provide the same level of education.  Individual lesson plans are designed with each child in mind and large, small and individual lessons are offered daily in addition to independent opportunities for each child to select and practice lessons previously introduced to.  The ONLY differences in these programs is that students who are not fully independent in the restroom will attend the Early Childhood  allowing for additional assistance in the restroom.

If you have any additional questions about the summer or fall registrations, contact the office at 609-799-6668 or chris.booth@nlcinc.com as we are happy to help in any way we can.

Wishing you a healthy and happy rest of your summer!  Stay cool and remember your sunscreen!

I look forward to seeing you soon!
