A Look Back at January:
Wow! It’s amazing to believe that the first month of the New Year has ended! The children have been motivated to expand their concentration time by exploring and manipulating all materials we have in different areas, such as Sensorial, Practical Life, Math, and Language. Also they are learning to be part of a group, to share, to cooperate, to take turns, along with their listening skills. This month we studied about the parts of a Penguin, Human Skeleton and studied about hibernation; some animals do this to save energy during winter. They learned that bears, snakes, and frogs hibernate. This was the month of Dr. Martin Luther King’s Birthday – we read books about him; we learned about his amazing speech and how civil rights changed America forever.
